Romantic & full of tradition - Wedding in Scottish Borthers

Updated: Mar 7

Some weddings are not just about two people coming together—they are about the merging of cultures, traditions, and families. Fran & Rebecca’s wedding was exactly that: a heartfelt celebration where Scottish and Spanish traditions intertwined, creating a day filled with love, warmth, and unforgettable moments.

A Romantic Elopement Full of Meaning

Fran arrived early at the church, excitement in his heart and nerves in his smile, ready to take the biggest step of his life. His family had traveled all the way from Andalusia, Spain, determined not to miss this special occasion. Everything was new for them—the traditions, the setting, but one thing was certain: their happiness for the couple was immeasurable.

When Rebecca arrived at the parish, she was welcomed with love. Her brother-in-law had the honor of officiating the ceremony, following the Christian traditions of the Church of Scotland. The service was deeply personal, leaving space for words of joy and heartfelt congratulations. Spanish readings were included, ensuring that Fran’s family felt embraced and at home, already part of this new chapter in Rebecca’s life.

A Sweet & Intimate Celebration

After the beautiful confetti toss and family portraits, Fran & Rebecca stole a quiet moment just for themselves. In the soft golden light of sunset, by the river, they captured romantic memories that they would one day share with their expected baby—a moment of pure love and anticipation.

Just before arriving at their reception at Cross Keys in Kelso, they had one more surprise in store: a gender reveal. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they shared the joy of discovering their baby’s gender, adding even more excitement to an already magical day.

A Wedding True to Their Hearts

Fran & Rebecca are a couple who live by their emotions, valuing authenticity over formality. For their wedding, they wanted nothing more than to celebrate their love and growing family in the most genuine way possible. The result? A day filled with sweet moments, heartfelt laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Because the most beautiful weddings are not about perfection: they are about love.
